I'm feeling quite nervous about Lime Tree Legends. The name is pretty random really, except that there is a lime tree outside my window. Adrian Plass once said that writing is easy. All you have to do is sit down at your keyboard and open up a vein. Not that easy then.
Why now? Well Fiona Robyn over at a river of stones has set a daily small stone challenge for January 2011 which I have decided to take up. I'm not sure I can actually write small stones, but perhaps a small daily writing commitment is enough in itself. I hope so. Fiona is a writer who has set up the project along with Kaspa. The idea, as she says, 'is to encourage people to engage with the world around them through writing a short observational piece every day during January.'
I'm encouraged. So, I'll be trying to take time each day to pay proper attention to what is going on around me, to engage with life more fully, and hopefully feel all the better for it.
